この8月に東京オフィスを銀座2丁目から八丁堀2丁目へ移転したデジコの新たな展開として、ニュースペース「CENTER」をローンチしました。
CENTERは、感情を呼び起こし、社会に／時代に問いかけ、変容させうるものとしてのアート／音楽／ファッションといった表現を起点に、流動性のあるつながりをつくり、交歓する〈場〉です。ともに集まり、賑わい、行き交い、コミュニケーションしていきましょう。
In August, as part of Degico’s new chapter following the relocation of our Tokyo office from Ginza 2-chome to Hatchobori 2-chome, we launched a new space called CENTER.
CENTER is a venue that begins with expressions—art, music, fashion—that can stir emotion, question society and the times, and catalyze change. From that starting point, it cultivates fluid connections and a place for convivial exchange. Let’s gather, mingle, cross paths, and keep the conversation going.
プロジェクト第一弾として、グラフィティやストリートカルチャー、ドローイングをベースとするアーティスト、NAZEのオープンスタジオ＋エキシビジョン《TASHIKA ME YOU》（会期：2022年8月22日～10月30日）をリリースしました。このオープンスタジオを舞台として、映像作家・武田悠弓馬が密着撮影。それを映像化するプロジェクトの一貫として、NEO SHIBUYA TVとの取り組みにより、そのディザー映像を渋谷の街頭ビジョンにおいて放映しました（2022年9月12日～18日）。
As our first project, we released NAZE: Open Studio + Exhibition “TASHIKA ME YOU” (August 22–October 30, 2022), featuring an artist whose practice is rooted in graffiti, street culture, and drawing. Filmmaker Yuma Takeda documented the open studio, and as part of the project we broadcast the teaser—produced in collaboration with NEO SHIBUYA TV—on Shibuya’s outdoor screens (September 12–18, 2022).
また、9月22日に開催したDEGICO TOKYO MOVED, CENTER LAUNCHED & NAZE EXHIBITION《TASHIKA ME YOU》のレセプションパーティーでは、《TASHIKA ME YOU》展のはじまりとなったオープンスタジオからのスピンオフ企画として、NAZEによるライブドローイングをCENTERのB1Fスタジオにおいて展開。パフォーマンスのスタートする前の状態から作品販売を行ない、なにが描かれるかわからない状態でも購入することもできるし、描かれてから考えることもできるけれど『これは！』という作品はすでに（描かれる前に）購入されているかもしれない。という実験的な試みを繰り広げました。
At the DEGICO TOKYO MOVED, CENTER LAUNCHED & NAZE EXHIBITION “TASHIKA ME YOU” reception on September 22, we staged a spin-off from the open studio that sparked the exhibition: NAZE’s live drawing in CENTER’s B1F studio. In an experimental twist, works were offered for sale before the performance began—so you could purchase a piece without knowing what would be drawn, or wait to decide after seeing it. In other words, that “this is it!” piece might already have been bought before it was even created.
